Coach Handbags Sues Target Over Questionable Bag

The latest round in suits brought by famous handbag companies was initiated by Coach, makers of quality leather bags. Coach states in documents submitted to the court that Target, the second largest chain store in the United States, is selling a counterfeit version of a Coach handbag.

Records indicate that Target sold more than $1 million dollars worth of a bag that Coach says is explicitly identified as a genuine Coach handbag. Of course Target is denying the charge filed in a Manhattan federal court and says that the handbag in question is authentic.

Coach has in their possession several of the questionable bags and says that Target is deliberately misleading consumers into buying what they think is a genuine discounted Coach handbag but is, in fact, a replica.

The lawsuit has asked for Target to stop selling the bags, to turn over all money they made on this particular product, and for the name of the company and/or person who sold Target the bags.

I will be following this story as it unfolds and bring you an update on developments
