Coach Handbags In The News

Coach Handbags is making news again with their dismissal of a suit against Target Department Stores. The original charges were that Target was selling a rip-off of a discontinued Coach bag called the Python Signature Striped Demi. Coach claimed the bag was a fake and demanded to know the source of Target's purchase.

Information was released that this handbag was purchased from a major department store liquidation sale and that this was a genuine Coach handbag, so all charges were dismissed.

In lighter news for Coach, quarterly profits were up by 34% of their Signature Stripe handbag due in large part to a rise in sales in Japan. Coach will be targeting the Japanese with a more upscale version of new bags that are vintage inspired and sell for 3 times the amount of a regular Coach bag. The new focused ads will feature New York models clutching their handbags in the Japanese editions of Elle and Vogue magazine.
